A New Paradigm in Power Grids?

One of the challenges of intermittent supply from renewables (sun doesn’t always shine and wind doesn’t always blow) is that they need to be close to points of consumption or there needs to be huge investments in batteries to store the electricity generated. But what if there were brand new grids that could take electricity from points of production to consumption? This new project that aims to take electricity generated in Australia to Singapore does just that ! Fascinating read!!!
